I am much happy and privileged to write few words on Mr. Kanapathipillai Sachithananthan reaching his 70th birthday on 5th , December 2011. Sachi commonly known as Maravanpulavu Sachithananthan is a very simple but an acute sharp minded individual involving various complicated issues.
So, no wonder, the son following his father, but quite interestingly Mr. Sachithanantan has taken the cause to much more and seems to have made great impact on the development of the religion in particular and the principle of Saiva Sithantham through various academic and religious organisations on a wider scale.
Mr. Sachithanaanthan, as I have known him as a scientist, as a academic, a professional/international expert etc.
But I had the opportunity to watch him as a very simple person with sincere and dedicated individual with wider knowledge associated with high motivation towards the set task.
Through my experiences due to my profession as well as of my dedication to the human right advocacy on interacting and meeting with various nationalities with different calibers, Mr. Sachi greatly differs not only in his very simple looks with white attire but in many ways he is a bundle of knowledge backed by immense dedication and sincerity in his believes.
As the chairman of an International advocacy group on human rights - (Global Peace Support Group-UK) I came to know him through another friend.
I was so surprised to listen to him, not only his wider knowledge but to hear that of his sincere friends whom are people of above in the ladder of the world's order and the community within the globe as politician/career diplomats, community leaders and various other statesmen all over the globe.
I should record this that of his introduction of this on good faith gave me and my colleagues to exploit to the maximum of our intended purpose with very wider publicity throughout the globe and made a significant impact.
So, in my view Mr. Sachithanantan through his deeds as demanded by the circumstances is an exemplary role model to many among persons who have taken up the identical tasks throughout the globe.
Finally, we do have some kind of definition of old age but in his history he has had many folds. So, let us all pray that there is a very important duty where he has to wait to see and that he should ensure that he lives up to enjoy the day of his people achieved their long waited aspirations and enjoy their freedom and to join the rest of the world.
